Trip to Oban, Kilchurn and Inveraray castles, Scotland

We will discover a country full of legends thanks to some of the most spectacular locations in Scotland. Its history, culture and gastronomy will delight you. We will border the west of Glasgow until we get to Lomond Lake, in the Trossachs National Park. In our stops, we will visit Luss and also Argyll and Bute council dominated by nature.

Additional Information

We will border Glasgow until we get the west side of lake Lomond, based within Trossachs national park. It is one of the biggest lakes in Great Britain, found in the Highland Boundary Fault. We will enjoy a marvellous landscape from here.
In Luss, we will find our first spot. It is a small town next to Lomond lake, where we will find aswell a medieval village with reminiscences of 19th century. Churches and buildings with a charming decoration with views to Ben Lomond attract tourists during the whole year.
Mansions, golf courses and an impressive nature will guide us through the history until our next spot, the Military Road.
The Loch Awe will delight is with some spectacular view of Scotland: the marvellous silouette of the Kilchurn castle, fort that once belonged to Campbell of Glenorchy clan. If weather will hinter the access to the castle, we will visit St Conan church designed at the end of 19th century.

-We will have access to Kilchurn from 1st April until 30th September. However, the rest of the year we will only enjoy the surroundings. Free entrance.
-St Conan church also has free entrance. Although, it is recommended a small donation to help with the maintaining and protection of the area.
-To take advantage of our grupal discount, payment will be required in cash.

Oban, capital of seafood will await us later to treat us with the flavour of its gastronomy in the different culinary choices that offer us. The town in the west cost is characterised by its victorian style and its openness to the Atlantic with views to Kerrera, Lismore or Mull islands.

We will take up our journey with our comeback, stopping first in Inveraray. Royal burgh and ancestral home of Argyll duke. It is placed on the edge of Fyne Lake and it will show us the footprint and refined taste of the most famous architect in the scottish Illustration.

Following, we will get through Argyll forest park, it is the oldest in Great Britain with its craggy peaks, hidden glens and winding rivers.

In the south side of Lomond lake where we will stop in Balloch to enjoy a good coffee before we have to face the last part of our trip until Edinburgh. After a long journey we will get back with the feeling of keeping a piece of the legendary Scotland in our pockets.
