Aditional information

The river Sella is a short coast river in the north of Spain. It is born in the mountain of the Picos de Europa, in a place called Jonseya. It is 66 km long.

The river Sella crosses Oseja de Sajam, Ponga, Amieva, Parres, Cangas de Onís and Ribadesella. It was a very important natural barrier for the region. This barrier was broken by the ‘Roman Bridge’, which links the two borders of Cangas de Onís.

This bridge is considered one of the most iconic images in Asturias.
