Additional Information

Lugo’s coast is known as ‘Mariña’. Is 60km long and full of surprises. From Ribadeo to Viveiro, the sea is usually at a better temperature than the Atlantic ocean. But let’s be realistic, sunny and hot days perfect for the water are not as usual as desirable.

If things were like that, the green wouldn’t be so cutting and tourism exploitation would have degraded it. So let’s embrace the weather and go through this landscape looking for the best beaches! With or without bad weather, they are all worth a visit.

The central beach of Foz keeps the perfect balance between urban beach (sea promenade, car not required, many restaurants and cafés), and the cleanliness and purity of the waters.

More about the activity

In this course through a personalized training we will make sure that you feel comfortable under the water.

The Open Water Diver course consist of 3 parts. The first is the theoretical part, where you will learn the safety and fundamental basis about the diving equipment. The second part is the training in pools or confined waters, in which you will get familiar with the equipment before you start diving in open waters. The open water immersions will happen during the third phase.

All you need to know is how to swim and be at least 16 years old. On the other hand, medical certificate and two ID pictures are required.
